Yeah, i know. I’m such a bad blogger! First, happy New year! 2010 is going to be a pretty busy year! I am planning to pass the entire summer in Ottawa, for my english! As an apologize, here’s what all my weeks look like since January! And I have a new phone, because yes, i lost my old one. Sight. Ps: Yes, my keyboard is pretty dirty. Need to work on this!

Globalive could launch a new mobile wireless company really soon and by soon, i mean like next week. Toronto and Calgary are the two first lucky cities who have been choosed by Globalive to start spreading the news. The CRTC said that this move should give consumers more choice as other new players are entering the market. True! Actually, 3 new companies are supposed to make their way through the market (Wind mobile, DAVE Wireless and Public Mobile), 4 if we think about Vidéotron who’s landing in Québec pretty soon too. Clean Sheet is already making print and web advertisements about the spirit and the dreams of this new mobile entity who’s going to be called “Wind“. No prices or informations about the plans, but we already know they are not going to sell Apple’s iPhones. We heard that the RIM’s Blackberry is going to be part of the familly. Wind said they will play hard on low price, by not charging to customers system access or 911 fees by example. Bell doesn’t seems to be quite happy by the news (Bell still seems to struggle with itself to stay in the race) and rumors said that Rogers already make an offer to buy Globalive new baby, a move immediately refused by the CRTC. A new Koodo/Fido is on his way or the 3 giants, Rogers, Bell and Telus should really be scared? We should know lot more about Wind’s marketing plan next week. It was about time! Google is finally giving to us, mac users, the opportunity to surf on the web at the speed of light! Ok, maybe i’m exaggerating things a little but it’s been a while we were all waiting for this! First impression? God, it launched so quickly! And the interface is pretty to! What can I say more. Go get it fast! And if you don’t have a Mac, then go buy one and then, download it!

Do you remember the Telus advertisements of 2005? No? And if and said Hippo! Now? For holidays, Telus is bringing back to screen one of his most popular mascot, Hazina the hippopotamus. JJ Hochrein, director, marketing communications at Telus, said “the synergy between the hippo and the expansiveness of the new 3G+ network really fit” and now that Telus can claim having the largest 3G+ network in Canada, the battle for Christmas is on! The spot will run on both conventional and specialty channels until the end of the year and was made by Taxi. Gossips : We even heard that since her last footage, Hazina now have a boyfriend! Starbucks and (RED) are going fund raising and once again, they are taking things really seriously. It’s in a week-long campaign that the two companies will hit the UK’s cinemas with a 60-seconds ad to promote the use of RED card in Starbucks coffee shops. If all goes well, the campaign will be launch on 27 of November and will hit more then 90 cinemas but also foyer TV network operated by Vue cinemas. RED is an association who wants to “transform our incredible collective power as consumers into a financial force to help others in need” and fight AIDS, once for all. Apple, Dell, Converse, GAP but also celebrities like Katy Perry are supporting the cause. They should add my name on the list. Cheers!
